Omg I love this gym! I came into New Orleans for a week and looking for a gym. I do have membership at planet but sometimes I want to lift heavy plus deadlift so I found this place. The owner is super nice and the week guest pass is a good price. This gym has that old high school gym feel, there’s a lot of different equipment from different brands. Even though it may seem cluttered it’s has everything you need to get a good workout in. Definitely a gym I’m coming back to when I come back down. I highly recommend this gym! 10/10

Great Old School Iron Gym!! I visited my friend in New Orleans while on a cut and ended up learning so much from the guys here and had an opportunity to do something new every day. Great ppl and great facility. I want a tee shirt!!

Old school style neighborhood gym. Friendly atmosphere. Beginners to hard core. Open 24/7. All the equipment you could possibly need.

This is a no frills hardcore bodybuilding and strength training gym that sits just outside the city center. It is easy to get to as the trail leads directly to the gym. The owner is very nice and personable. The gym equipment comes from many different generations of bodybuilding. There are some newer hook attachments for pully weight and some other old school equipment for pushing around a heavy stack. I recommend this gym to anyone who takes lifting seriously and wants something that’s not LA fitness.

A great gym if you’re visiting from out of town. I was able to get a week pass for $35. Coming from someone who’s only been to a commercial gym, this place exceeded my expectations. It’s the little things that made a huge difference. I’m going to be devastated when I go back to my home gym. I communicated through whatsapp and was able to get a quick response late at night to help get signed up.

When booking a trip to NOLA, finding a good gym is always a must. Body Docs is an old school, hardcore gym housing any equipment needed for a great workout. This family owned gym was definitely built for iron enthusiasts. I recommend those looking for a good sweat and metal weights to head over!

Best gym in New Orleans. John, the owner, is super cool and his prices are beyond fair. It's a warehouse gym, no AC and no heat, just you and the iron. He has every piece of equipment you could need to want and then some. Powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, if he doesn't have it, you don't need it. I'm gonna be coming back every time I am in New Orleans.

The most hardcore gym I've been too. Hard to find a hidden gem like this. This is about as wild as it could get, a real man beast gym. The owner, John, is an incredible human being. We talk about the gym and the history behind it, very interesting to know about it. If you're into extreme hardcore gyms, well, this is clone similar to the Arlington Metroflex. Any hardcore lifter should expirience Body Doc's Gym at least, once in a lifetime, got the best workout in a while. Thank you John, your gym is amazing, hope to be back one day.
